Richard Strauss - Elektra

So this has been my project for the weekend, putting together a scenic progression for the one act opera by Richard Strauss, Elektra.  As you may know already it's a favourite of mine and has been for many years, I loved it's shock value as a teen and grown to love the psychological depths it plumbs in terms of character and culture.

I've gone for a traditional style here, in the timeless tradition of Alfred Roller and his early 20th Century contemporaries.  It's an idea I've had floating around for many years now and finally decided to put it down on paper so to speak.  I'll be adding the actual images to the Fantasy gallery at some stage today, so check it out later when I've posted the link.  Have a wonderful  Sunday.
